To achieve my career goals, I completed my resume and my cover letter, and I set up a LinkedIn account to network with new connections. I constantly apply to jobs within the sports industry near Boston, Massachusetts, New York, New York and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a senior, I am en route to complete my Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing and my Innovation and entrepreneurship minor. A strong business background is important for entrepreneurs. Currently, I am the marketing intern in the Muhlenberg College Athletics Department. Throughout the course of my internship, I have focused on implementing marketing strategies to increase fan attendance at athletic events. I joined the Muhlenberg Athletic Leadership Team, or MALT, to take on a role of leadership and communication among student athletes to integrate community service and the Allentown community to the Muhlenberg campus. Also, I joined the Habitat for Humanity Club and the Best Buddies Club to become a passionate, active member of my community. The goal of my efforts is to land a job in sports marketing after graduation in May of 2020.
My personal career goal is to work in operations for a professional sports team. A secondary career goal is to start a business that revolves around the intellectually and developmentally disabled. I want to create an enhanced awareness that provides the disabled with a greater opportunity for employment. I hope to create a business that solves one of the world’s undeniable challenges in the simplest of ways. To further my education and create more opportunities for myself, I am also going to enroll in an MBA program after my graduation from Muhlenberg College.
